Haeri SUH

Haeri Suh, a native of South Korea, began her musical studies at the age of four. Since her first solo recital at Ga-Eun Art Hall in Korea at the age of 12, she has given many solo and chamber concerts in Korea, Europe, and the United States. As a faculty member of the Great Wall International Music Academy since 2008, she has performed with members of the American String Quartet, Kurt Sassmannshaus, Piotr Milewski, Yehuda Hanani and Matthias Buchholz. Recent engagements also included at the Schleswig-Holdstein Music Festival and Fontazione Academia di Musica Italiana.

The winner of numerous competitions in Korea including the Sam-Ik Piano Competition and Music Association of Korea Competition, Ms. Suh won concerto Competition in Ewha University and she performed Mozart concerto K.537 ‘Coronation’ with Ewha Philharmonic Orchestra. She also performed in the Young Artists Concert sponsored by the prestigious Korean newspaper, Chosun-Ilbo. She was the winner of 2009-2010 University of Cincinnati, College Conservatory of Music piano concerto competition and she performed Mendelssohn G minor piano concerto with CCM Philharmonia Orchestra.

Ms.Suh received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees at Ewha Womans University in Seoul, Korea and her teachers included Wonmi Kim and Yunbo Chung. In 2009, she earned Artist Diploma at the University of Cincinnati, College-Conservatory of Music where she is currently pursuing a Doctor of Music Arts degree in piano performance with James Tocco.
